LightForce was founded on innovation and scientific research.
In 2015, during the Boston blizzard, while he was a resident in the department of orthodontics at Harvard University’s school of dentistry, Dr. Alfred Griffin III began researching new ways to improve orthodontic brackets using 3D printing technology. After three years of research and development, he successfully created the first fully 3D-printed orthodontic bracket, made from ceramic polycrystalline alumina.
